DiaKwant™ Ki-67 Breast
Three hotspots, found for you. Zero click, zero annotation, zero manual counting: when you open the slide in Aperio HALO AP Software, DiaKwant™ AI has already framed the invasive breast carcinoma, classified each tumor nucleus and computed the global Ki-67 score and three hotspot scores, each on at least 1,000 tumor cells. A heatmap shows where proliferation concentrates across the tumor, so the score stays traceable to the tissue. You stay in control. The AI handles the count.

DiaKwant Ki-67 Demonstration in Aperio HALO AP Image Management System
DiaKwant Ki-67 is a DiaDeep algorithm integrated within the Aperio HALO AP digital pathology platform to deliver accurate Ki-67 quantification. It automatically analyzes the whole slide to calculate a global Ki-67 index across all invasive tumor areas and to identify the three hotspots with the highest proliferation index, each containing at least 1,000 detected tumor cells, with no manual annotation or selection of invasive regions required from the pathologist.
After selecting a Ki-67 slide, the pathologist can review the tissue in detail. A heatmap overlay highlights the Ki-67 index across the invasive tumor. The heatmap can be switched on or off at any time, allowing the pathologist to compare the algorithm's output with the underlying tissue morphology.
At the end of the analysis, the pathologist obtains:
- Ki-67 Hotspots Score
- The global Ki-67 index across all invasive tumor areas.
- The individual Ki-67 index of hotspots 1, 2, and 3.
- A heatmap of the Ki-67 index across the invasive tumor.
DiaKwant also offers automated quantification for PD-L1, HER2, ER, PR, and mitosis.
