"There's always been evolution, but I think the rate of evolution in this day and age in all fields, actually including our practice, is very exponential and very rapid. And, I think in in the remaining years of my practice, there may be total transformation to my day-to-day job, which is exciting, indeed, but also challenging because it means that we will have to change ways of our daily practice that we've been used to for many years. It's a question of ensuring that there is the precision of the new systems as well as the speeds. So, the future of pathology to me really means having the technology and the technical support to be able to embrace the new developments with the same outcome even better."
Prof. Mona El-Bahrawy on how technology can help us improve patient outcomes
