Scientia Education Series: Microtomy and Paraffin Section Preparation

Continuing our commitment to education, Leica Microsystems has released “Microtomy and Paraffin Section Preparation” – a booklet specially prepared as a training aid for newcomers to microtomy and paraffin section preparation and as a refresher course for more experienced histologists.

This educational publication covers the essential elements for set-up and safe operation of a rotary microtome to prepare paraffin sections. Some of the more common faults seen in sections are illustrated and troubleshooting suggestions are provided.
