Aperio Nuclear Algorithm

The Aperio Nuclear Algorithm measures area and intensity of nuclear staining with a target chromogen in individual cells. Nuclei are easily detected by counterstain, and users can determine which nuclei to include in analysis based on size, shape and staining. Non-specific staining in the cytoplasm or membrane are disregarded, giving you an accurate view of nuclear staining.

Non-specific staining can provide a misleading picture of your nuclear biomarker expression. The Aperio Nuclear Algorithm automatically detects and corrects for staining bleed into the cytoplasm, and uses deconvolution to separate nuclear stain from counterstain, giving you a more accurate representation of true nuclear staining intensity.
